about

In the first years of studying physics, engineering and related sciences, many students struggle with mathematics. The best way to learn math is certainly with a good lecture and with well written text books. However, sometimes you just want a quick but satisfying answer to a particular question without scanning through long chapters of books or scripts.

On math for physicists I collect anwers to some of these questions. The answers are polished extracts from my lectures on mathematics for physicists. I particularly hope that these explanations will be useful for people who struggle with mathematics in their first courses at university and who might not have the best access to good teachers, lectures and books.

I have carefully worked out and checked the material on these pages. However, I cannot guarantee that all posts are perfect and I am thankful for any hints to possible errors.
